Calling All Bot Builders

Welcome to the BattleBook. Here you can:

  • Apply for BattleBots
  • Schedule BattleBots Proving Ground fights
  • Review your stats

General Instructions

To get started please follow these steps:

  1. Download and read the BattleBots Design and Tournament Rules
  2. Download the "How to get on BattleBots" PDF
  3. Login or create an account
  4. Read ALL application instruction and questions thoroughly.
  5. Create a New Robot, and populate ALL FIELDS (you may save your work over multiple sessions)
  6. View the Submission Checklist tab on your Robot Dashboard page. It will describe all steps necessary for your robot to be considered.
  7. When your application is complete and you have completed all steps on the Submission Checklist tab, submit it for consideration and blow us away with your robot design.
  8. We'll review your application, and if acceptable we will mark it as "Cleared to Continued"
  9. Once you have been Cleared to Contunue you may then set your availability for upcoming Proving Ground dates for which you'd like to fight and/or upcoming Touraments like the World Championship.
  10. Look for an email from us if your robot is selected for battle!

Please note that we’re asking applicants to design a robot, not build a robot. As building a robot is dangerous, time consuming and expensive, you should only start building if you are notified by BattleBots that your application has been accepted, and you have completed other entry procedures that will be required by our broadcast partners. If you decided to build before this, you do so at your own risk.

BattleBots Inc. and its affiliates reserve the right to reject any application for any reason and without explanation.

World Championship VIII

We are accepting applications for World Championship VIII. Dates are pending, but we are currenlty targeting summer 2023 or early 2024 (targets subject to change).

If you wish to apply for World Championship VIII please do the following:

  • New builders: Please create an account and new application
  • Existing builders with a NEW BOT: Please login to your account and ADD a New Robot
  • Existing builders with an OLD BOT: Please login to your account and update your existing application
  • If you wish to participate in BattleBots Proving Ground (see below), you will have the opportunity to set your availabity to battle once you application has been fully submitted and cleared to continue.
  • While no official deadline has been set for WCVIII, please endeavor to submit your applications by May, 2023

BattleBots Proving Ground

You now have two ways to get on the BattleBots TV show:

  1. Apply here and wait for us to tell you if your application has been accepted or not. Only a small percentage of applications are chosen each season.
  2. Apply here AND ALSO come to BattleBots Proving Ground in Las Vegas where you will fight your robot inside the actual BattleBox Arena in front of a live audience!

BattleBots Proving Ground is your chance to show us what you've built, fight it in front of a live audience, and prove you deserve a spot on the BattleBots television show. To participate in Proving Ground, simply submit your completed application, wait for us to clear your application to continue, and then mark you availability on the proving ground calendar. We'll review everything and contact you.
